Nothing plays by itself
No autoplay, anywhere, ever. Playback starts only when somebody presses a control. A guide that starts talking in a quiet room is a guide people switch off.
Accessibility statement
This is what we build into every listening page, and what we would be held to on yours.
01
No autoplay, anywhere, ever. Playback starts only when somebody presses a control. A guide that starts talking in a quiet room is a guide people switch off.
02
Every stop's full transcript is in the page itself, not fetched later and not hidden behind a modal. It is readable with audio off, with the sound down, on a phone with no headphones, and by anyone who would simply rather read. Each stop also has a plain printable transcript page a venue can hand over on paper.
03
Play, pause, back fifteen seconds, forward fifteen seconds, speed and the seek slider are all real buttons and a real slider. Tab reaches them in order; Space and Enter activate; arrow keys, Home and End move the slider; Escape closes an expanded stop. The focus ring is a visible amber outline offset from the control, never removed.
04
Play, pause and finish are announced politely to a screen reader through a live region. Nothing is announced on page load, because arriving on a page should be quiet.
05
Body text sits above 7:1 against the page; interactive text above 4.5:1. Amber is never used as small text on the dark canvas โ only as a state, a fill, a marker or a focus ring. Tap targets are at least 44px. The page reflows to a phone with no horizontal scrolling.
06
The only animation is the progress indicator of the stop that is playing. If the visitor's device asks for reduced motion, even that stops moving smoothly and simply updates.
07
With scripting off you can still read every transcript, follow every link, submit the intake form, look up a project and play narration through the browser's own audio control. The studio control set is an enhancement layered on top of a page that already worked.
Found something here that does not hold up on your device? That is a defect, not a preference โ tell us through the intake form and it gets fixed.
