The studio
We do not write your history. We make it listenable.
You already hold the material — catalogue notes, a curator's essay, an oral-history transcript that has never left the drawer. What you do not have is somebody whose job it is to turn it into ninety seconds a visitor will actually stand still for. That is the whole job here.
No hardware. No player rental, no lanyards, no minimum units, no lock-in. A visitor uses the phone already in their hand, scans a QR code on the wall label, and listens. If they would rather read, the transcript is on the same page.
The production gate
Seven steps, in this order, every time
The order matters more than the craft. Most of what goes wrong with an audio guide goes wrong because speech was generated before somebody checked the sentence.
Step 2
Ledger first
Every factual sentence we intend to narrate is written down against the source it came from, before it is scripted.
Step 3
Script approval
You approve the written script. Nothing is spoken until you have.
Step 4
Pronunciation sheet
Names, places and terms are agreed in writing, so re-records and later languages match.
Step 5
Narration
Generated with a licensed stock voice through a metered integration. We never imitate a real person's voice.
Step 6
Full listen-through
A human listens to every second of every stop against the approved script.
Step 7
Venue walk-check
You play the guide in the room it belongs to, on a normal phone, before we call it delivered.
Scope
What a pilot contains
- Five short stops in one approved language, 90–180 seconds each.
- A matching written transcript for every stop, on the same page, in the DOM.
- A source ledger: one line per factual sentence, pointing at your own approved material.
- A pronunciation sheet for names, places and terms, agreed before any speech is generated.
- A mobile listening page, plus a deep link and a printable QR target per stop.
- Two revision rounds on script, one on audio.
- A listen-through of every finished stop by a human, start to end, before delivery.
What it does not
- Hardware. No players, no lanyards, no rental, no minimum units.
- GPS, beacons, or location triggers. The QR code is the trigger.
- A marketplace listing, an app-store app, or a visitor-data product.
- Any promise about visitor numbers, dwell time or engagement. We produce the guide; we do not forecast behaviour.
- Writing your history for you. We work from material you have already approved.

What it costs, roughly
These are the studio's standard packages. They are a starting point, not a quote: the real number depends on what is actually in your material, which is what the estimator reads out of your own answers.

Pilot

A whole route rather than a sample. Adds a room-by-room running order, an intro stop, a short accessibility stop, and a script package you can extend yourself.

Second language
A second language is a second production: its own script pass, its own ledger check against the same sources, its own pronunciation sheet and its own listen-through. Never a translation toggle.

Rotation retainer
For venues that swap displays. One stop replaced or re-recorded per month, the ledger kept current, and the listening page maintained. Cancel with a month's notice.
There is no Buy button on this page, and that is deliberate. Production scope is quoted after we have read your source material; a submitted enquiry is not a paid project and nothing on this site charges a card.
